Terranauts: Overview

EarthshotIn collaboration with award-winning film director, Steve Dorst, The EarthShot Foundation introduces the Terranaut Almanacs Series. Terranauts will gather each month at The Council on Foreign Relations building in Washington, DC or in San Francisco to explore the nexus of issues surrounding energy, economy and environment. Top thought-leaders and decision-makers will join their peers in groups of ten or more to discuss these crucial issues within the context of accuracy, competency, and readiness for change and scale.

Terranauts subscribe to a common thesis – we already know what we need to do. Each event, centered around a collegial, attack-and-defend dialogue, is based on a single bold thesis or challenge. A group of leading thinkers and doers will look to challenge and adapt that thesis with the goal of making it stronger and more actionable.

Using five cameras, our film director documents each of our Terranaut dialogues. For those who cannot join our series events in-person, we bring insight and experience from the most accomplished and best-informed individuals on our chosen topics.
