A New Dawn for New Energy

The Age of New Energy is here, almost. Recent years have ushered in explosive growth in the clean economy. In 2011, solar overtook steel in total jobs (US Bureau of Labor Statistics). Renewables outproduced nuclear in Q1 (US Energy Information Agency). In 2010, clean investments exceeded conventional energy capital expenditures globally. But, challenges remain. Incentives like the 1603 grant and 100% depreciation that fueled expansion have expired. DOE’s Loan Program is sun-setting. Trade disputes are growing, threatening to halt or reverse price declines.

Now, more than ever, New Energy needs to stand up and take control of its future. This event convenes an unparalleled group of thinkers and doers in new power and finance, and explores the solutions best suited to sustain and accelerate New Energy growth.
